2018 Reflections

2018 was a great year for me! I had a lot of fun with my friends and have enjoyed my 5th grade teachers a lot too! My 4th grade teachers were great also, but I have so many more privileges in 5th grade than I have had in any other year! I have had a great time in 5th grade and can not wait for 6th grade. My favorite subject has always been reading, but after having Mr.McBride I think my favorite subject is Science! My least favorite subject is math, but my math teachers, Mrs.Ummel and Mrs.Brantley, make everything fun! Mrs.McFall is a great teacher too, and I have enjoyed learning about the Boston Tea party and the history about the colonists from way back then. Mrs.Owens, my reading teacher is always so nice and most of the things we do in her class are usually fun. The only thing I miss about 4th grade is the recess and the nice teachers of course, although my teachers in 5th grade teachers are nice too. P.E. will always be my favorite periferal, I think I am going to love Athletics in 6th grade! Although in 6th grade I do not look forward to band.I am so glad 2019 has started and hope it will be a great year for everyone.

Colonial Hatter

Another day of hard work, the colony is barely surviving! Me, as one of the only woman Hatters’! The men are very rough and many people are starving to death! My family and I are still doing well and are in good condition. Right now the tri-cornered hat is a favorite style.Today we ran out of glue and the men bothered me until I made the glue. A few days ago the fumes from the washing pelts made my friend crazy! The fumes caused her muscle problems in her leg and made her sight blurry. It happened to me today but luckily only made me dizzy for a few moments. Later, one of the richer families came in and let all three of their children pick a tri-cornered hat! I am not complaining  but the amount was more than I would spend on a good weapon.Well the Papermakers’ are running slow and this is my last paper.I must stop writing now.

The Mummy in the Casket

One spooky Halloween night, the clock struck midnight. Addison and I were walking to my house from a Haunted House Party we had just left. “On the way to my house there is a shortcut through the graveyard and past the Museum of Mummies” I told Addison .She responded “I’m not sure that is a great idea.” I continued walking and she ran to catch up. As we walked through the graveyard Addison got really scared and we started to run through the graveyard. When we got through the graveyard I tripped over something like something I had seen before. I shouted “Oh My Gosh!” It was a casket! My knee was gushing blood and Addison fainted. Suddenly, something grabbed me  and pulled me right  into the Museum Of Mummies. Addison finally woke up and ran after me. The Mummy quickly slammed the door on her face. Addison nose was bleeding, but she wasn’t giving up! She quickly opened the door and the Mummy and I were out of sight! I screamed “Help!!!!”  She yelled “Don’t Worry!”  She came running and she was crying. Together we shoved the mummy into a box and locked it. We ran home and she told me again that going through the graveyard was not a good idea! I told her we better not tell my Mom.

White Oak Homecoming

White Oak’s Homecoming is very special because it only happens every three years. If you have ever been to the game on the day of homecoming you will find that to find a seat that is not filled is very difficult. Have you ever been to the parade? There are lots of different people and floats there. There is the White Oak Football team and the Cheerleaders. There is also the little neck football team and their cheerleaders. Also the Homecoming Queen and the runner ups. Also their is the baseball teams and softball teams and they all throw candy. If you have never been to the parade, I suggest you go. It is definitely worth your time.

9/11 Reflections

9/11 was a very sad day and many people died. 9/11 was a suicide mission. Some tormentors got on a plane with weapons, when they were ready they killed the pilots and took over the plane.  Two planes crashed into the Twin Towers killing everyone on the plane. Another plane was taken by tormentors and that was Flight 93. Flight 93 was said to be targeted at the White House or some other important area. The passengers on Flight 93 made a plan to take back the plane from the tormentors and stop them from crashing the plane. The passengers threw hot coffee, plates and anything they could use at them! Finally, they knocked the tormentors out and crashed the plane in a field. Nobody made it out alive, but to this day those passengers on Flight 93 are true heros! Thanks to them America stands stronger together and aware of these wonderful passengers and brave people!
